As Culinary Director at The Crestone Senior Living, I approach each day with passion, not just purpose. I face new challenges, hear new stories, and find fresh reasons to feel grateful. I’m excited to share how I arrived in this role, what fuels my dedication, and what a typical day looks like in our community. My work goes beyond preparing meals—it centers on building connections, creating purpose, and making a real difference where it counts.

I became a culinary director in senior living after witnessing my grandmother have a poor dining experience in her community. That moment inspired me to ensure older adults enjoy meals that bring them comfort, satisfaction, and joy.
Over the years, my experience with Atria Senior Living and other respected institutions gave me the foundation I needed to thrive. These roles helped me develop both the leadership and culinary skills necessary to serve in my position at Arrow.
What I enjoy most about senior living is the daily opportunity to connect with my patrons—the residents. Their stories, smiles, and feedback fuel my passion for what I do. Every day, I’m reminded that this work matters.
Each morning, I begin by greeting residents as they enjoy breakfast. This small moment helps set a positive tone for the rest of the day and keeps me grounded in the purpose of my role.
For anyone considering a culinary career in senior living, I offer this advice: lead with your heart. This work is deeply personal, and true success comes from genuinely caring about those you serve.
To me, success means hearing compliments from residents and knowing the food brought them joy, even for a moment.
At the end of the day, I take the greatest pride in knowing I’ve contributed something meaningful—whether it’s a favorite dish, a heartfelt conversation, or a comforting moment. Thank you for welcoming me into your community and allowing me to serve at your table. I’m truly honored.
The Crestone Senior Living serves and employs individuals of all faiths, regardless of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age or handicap, except as limited by state and federal law.
